ESB Student Consulting e.V.

ESB Student Consulting e.V. offers the perfect opportunity to get involved alongside your studies and gain your first practical experience. With over 100 members from 5 faculties, you will meet interesting people and expand your network at ESB Student Consulting. You can choose between four departments and six projects each semester.

Projects

Each semester we offer six exciting projects for renowned companies. Whether global player, start-up, medium-sized company or top consultancy, we have something for everyone. A project team consists of approx. 10 consultants and senior consultants and is managed by a project manager. In our consulting projects, you will gain exciting insights into the work of a consultant and come into contact with the company. In our information sessions at the beginning of the semester, we present the upcoming projects. The services range from AI and sustainability to strategic consulting. So there is something for everyone.

Our departments

Our departments keep the organisation running in the background and ensure that projects run smoothly. They are divided into Lead & Account Management, Business Improvement & IT, Finance & Legal and HR & Marketing.

Lead & Account Management

As the first point of contact for interested companies, this department deals with project acquisition and customer relationship management, among other things. You maintain the relationships with our partners and ensure that we also have interesting projects in future semesters.

Business Improvement & IT

This department focuses on the smooth running of internal processes and manages the IT infrastructure. The department also takes care of the PowerPoint templates. Here you work on the optimization or implementation of processes or software.

Finance & Legal

The task of this department is the financial and legal administration of the association. This includes, for example, controlling income and expenditure and processing donations.

HR & Marketing

The HR & Marketing department looks after the members of the association, organizes events and designs merchandise. It also deals with the representation of the organisation and its activities in public.

What we offer you

As a member, we offer you numerous training opportunities that will help you stand out from other students. You can benefit from numerous workshops with external, large consulting companies. Soft skills such as presentation techniques or rhetoric are taught, but practical case studies are also carried out.

ESB Student Consulting e. V. comprises around 100 members from the various faculties at Reutlingen University, which gives you the opportunity to make contacts beyond your degree programme. Our association also enables you to build up or expand your network by putting you in touch with interesting national or international corporate partners.

The diverse project or departmental work gives you the opportunity to constantly master new challenges and gain initial insights into working in a company through the various projects. This high degree of practical relevance sets you apart from your fellow students and is a highly valued experience for potential employers.

Once you have successfully completed the course, you will receive a reference from your manager or board member about your performance. This proves your dedication and extracurricular commitment and looks good in future applications.
